GEOPLIN and SOCAR from Azerbaijan will cooperate in the field of natural gas supply
With the aim to further enhance reliable supply of natural gas, Geoplin, the most important Slovenian natural gas supplier, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SOCAR from Azerbaijan, within the framework of the Slovenian Minister of Environment, Climate and Energy, Bojan Kumer’s meeting with the president of SOCAR.
Today, on 17 July 2024, the President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf met with the Minister of Environment, Climate and Energy of the Republic of Slovenia, Bojan Kumer. The minister was accompanied by Simon Urbancl, Manager of Geoplin, Slovenia's largest natural gas supply company.
At the meeting, Minister Kumer and the President of SOCAR noted with satisfaction that relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia in the energy sector have developed successfully. The large potential for cooperation in the field of natural gas supply was particularly emphasized. Within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding allowing the strengthening of cooperation in the field of gas supply was signed between SOCAR led by president Rovshan Najaf and Slovenia's largest natural gas supply company Geoplin, led by Manager Simon Urbancl.
